Description

An original December 1899 Edison Records paper catalog booklet featuring an iconic Art Nouveau green-toned cover displaying a portrait of Thomas A. Edison, marked “Form No. 77, DEC., ’99.” Produced by the National Phonograph Co. at the Edison Laboratory in Orange, New Jersey, this rare survivor includes pricing info (“50c. each”), ordering instructions, a comprehensive table of contents for early cylinder selections, and a reverse cover illustrating “Edison Working on the Phonograph.” The interior pages display classic turn-of-the-century typography and special announcements for early standard and classical music records. Objectively assessing its condition, the booklet is in fair, intact, and complete shape, presenting expected uniform historic age toning, light edge creasing, soft corners, and small minor chips or surface wear to the outer paper covers consistent with its age. H 6″, W 3.25″, D 0.1″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
