The Allen Koenigsberg Phonograph Collection
Lot 3359:
Description
This mid-century modern icon is a 1958-1960 Philco Predicta “Pedestal” (often referred to as the Holiday or Barber Pole style) television, a legendary triumph of futuristic space-age design featuring its signature detached, rotating CRT swivel monitor housing wrapped in a gold-toned metal trim. The base features a perforated metal grille facade housing the vacuum tube chassis, complete with the original front-facing Philco control knobs and fine-tuning rings. Objectively, the unit is in very good cosmetic condition with all knobs, dials, and the monitor articulation moving smoothly, showing no visible cracks or structural breakages to the housing. The rear chassis harness appears largely complete with standard vintage vacuum tubes present, though it lacks a power cord and remains untested, requiring a full electronic restoration before any operation should be attempted. H 24″, W 24.75″, D 12″. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection. Please see photos for condition. Note: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available Post-Auction.
