This striking exhibition poster celebrates the centennial of Thomas Edison’s groundbreaking invention, originally produced for the “Mr. Edison’s Wonderful Speaking Phonograph… and what came after 1877-1977″ exhibition held at the Vincent Astor Gaery within the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center from December 6, 1977, to March 25, 1978. The piece features a bold yellow background with distinctive retro graphic styling, depicting an early cylinder phonograph with a thought-cloud vignette containing a historic portrait of a young Thomas Edison. The poster is housed under glass in a blue and white painted wooden frame. The poster displays in good condition with vibrant colors, minimal fading, and light edge wear, while the painted frame shows minor scuffing and wear consistent with age. H 29.25″, W 22″, D 1.25”.
