Description

A superb modern reproduction piece of advertising decor capturing the quintessential golden age of audio entertainment, combining Victor’s iconic “His Master’s Voice” trademark featuring the beloved terrier Nipper with an elegant 1917 ragtime-era dance hall motif. Replicated from original Victor Talking Machine Co. print advertisements, this reverse-glass mirror presents the nostalgic slogan, “The right partner, a smooth floor and the Victrola!” alongside finely detailed illustrations of dancing couples. Framed in a dark, stained wood molding with a simple cardboard backing and wire hangers, this item pays excellent homage to early 20th-century phonograph marketing. Objectively, the piece is structurally complete and displays vibrant graphics, showing minor edge scuffs to the frame, slight cardboard backing wear, and notable cosmetic chipping and finish loss concentrated on the lower-left edge of the wooden moulding. H 25.75″, W 19.5″, D 1″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
