Description
Edison Home cylinder phonograph in a large Hawthorne & Sheble Co. mahogany floor cabinet with hinged beveled glass cover. The cabinet has 5 large drawers with wood pegs (all present) with each drawer holding 60 records for a total of 300 records! 2 small drawers at the top for supplies. All drawers have brass pulls. The hinged cover has beveled glass on top and all 4 sides and is in VG condition. Both sides and back are paneled and is missing some of the decorative beading, most of which is in one of the top drawers. Measures 41.5″ wide, 25.25″ deep, 48.5″ tall. Has original metal wheels on bottom. The Edison Home phonograph mechanism has good paint and pinstripe, good reproducer with stylus, and original crank. Machine winds and runs. It has a Weber chain drive repeater that works but needs adjustment. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
