Description
Edison Home phonograph mounted in a Hawthorne & Sheble Co. Mahogany floor cabinet with a hinged glass cover. Cabinet has 4 large locking drawers (with key) that each hold 24 cylinders on wood pegs (all present). Cabinet drawers are missing small amounts of the decorative beading on the drawers most of which is in one of the drawers. The drawers all have original brass pulls. The cabinet sets on cast brass paw feet with wheels. Lid has beveled glass on top and all 4 sides in VG condition. The phonograph is a side gate Edison Home in VG original condition with VG paint and stripe on bedplate. Has a Blackman reproducer with a good stylus and a broken paper diaphragm. Record shaving attachment intact. Motor winds and runs but needs a new belt. Mandrel spins freely. Comes with an original 15″ black and brass bell horn. Cabinet measures 44″ tall, 30.5″ wide, 16.75″ deep. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
