Description

This is a classic Swiss Model 1911 (G11) straight-pull bolt-action rifle, a masterpiece of Alpine precision engineering. Chambered in the powerful 7.5x55mm Swiss (GP11) caliber, as evidenced by the “7.5” and “P” (privatized/released from service) markings, this specimen carries serial number 470989, which dates its manufacture to approximately 1918 by Waffenfabrik Bern. The rifle features the distinctive “beer barrel” charging handles and original Swiss cross proof marks on the receiver, barrel, and walnut stock. It remains in a very honest, service-worn condition; the wood shows numerous character marks, small dings, and surface abrasions consistent with military use, while the blued finish exhibits thinning and high-edge wear. The bolt, receiver, and magazine numbers appear matching. The bore shows visible rifling but requires a thorough cleaning to remove accumulated debris. H 5.5″, W 3″, D 52″. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N 470989. C&R Eligible.
