Firearms and Ammo Auction
Lot 1254:
Description
This Stevens Crack-Shot No. 26 is a quintessential “boy’s rifle” manufactured by the J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. (1913–1920). A single-shot rimfire featuring a lever-actuated rolling block, it remains a staple of early 20th-century firearms history. This specimen features a 18.75″ barrel and original walnut furniture. While the primary components are present, it is missing the breech block crosspin that connects the block to the lever assembly, requiring repair for mechanical timing. The wood shows honest wear with scattered compressions, and the metal has transitioned to a natural plum patina with light surface oxidation. The bore is dark but retains strong rifling. L 32.5″, H 4.5″, W 1″. Please see photos for overall condition. NSN, C&R Eligible.
