Description

This authentic WWII-era M1 Carbine is a highly sought-after piece of Americana, manufactured by the legendary Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation—originally famous for their jukeboxes. This specimen features a walnut stock and a “Rock-Ola” marked barrel, showcasing the manufacturer’s transition from musical instruments to war production. Based on the serial number 4603813, this rifle was manufactured between November 1943 and March 1944. Notably, it is equipped with a Type 3 barrel band marked “AMCO,” a common subcontractor for these components during late-war production and post-war refurbishments. The rifle includes a green nylon sling in a herringbone weave, a durable material often seen in post-WWII or Korean War-era replacements; no magazine is present. The parkerized finish is in very good condition, exhibiting consistent coverage with only minor thinning at the muzzle and along the bolt track. The bore is clean and in good condition with strong rifling. The wood stock is in good condition with minimal mars; however, there are small scratches and two minor linear imperfections—one at the wrist on the upper portion and another on the left side of the receiver—which appear to be superficial scratches rather than structural cracks. H 5.5″, W 35.75″, D 3″ .30 Caliber SN 4603813; C&R eligible. Please see photos for condition.
