Lot 1196:
Description
This Winchester Model 41 is a classic bolt-action, single-shot .410 gauge shotgun, representing a fine example of early 20th-century American craftsmanship. Manufactured in New Haven, Connecticut, between 1920 and 1934, this model features a 24-inch barrel with a full choke and carries the distinct “W” proof marks on both the barrel and the receiver. The stock is crafted from American walnut and retains its original checkered hard rubber buttplate featuring the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. logo. This piece shows a genuine aged patina on the blued steel and expected field wear on the wood. Condition is noted by a significant crack and chip to the toe of the walnut stock and the corresponding section of the hard rubber buttplate. The bore remains fairly clean, and the action appears functional. L 44.25″, W 2″, D 5″. Please see photos for condition. .410 Gauge; NSN; C&R Elligible.
