Description

The Model 1916 Spanish Mauser is a bolt-action short rifle based on the 1893 Mauser action. Produced from 1916 to 1951 for the Spanish armed forces and the Guardia Civil, it was widely used during the Spanish Civil War. This particular rifle was manufactured in 1930. It has its original 21.75-inch barrel; however, the stock has been cut down and sporterized. The black metal finish is in average condition, showing scratches and marks, with some per re-arsenal pitting. Butt plate shows oxidation. Wood stock is in typical service condition, with dings and scratches, however is solid with no visible cracks. Bore is in good condition and rifling is prominent, but edges are rounding. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: V1731. C&R Eligible.
