Lot 1090:
Description
Vintage Savage Model 1922 Sporter bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Produced from 1923 to 1933, it is known for its high-quality construction, featuring a receiver and barrel machined from a single solid piece of steel. This rifle features a 23-inch blued steel barrel with open iron sights, a 5-round detachable box magazine, a one-piece walnut stock and a Weaver G4 4x scope. The metal parts exhibit remnants of the original blued finish, accented with a nice dark patina. Walnut stock is in good condition for its age, showing minor surface scratches and dings. A chip is viable on the stock near the magazine. Scope optics are clear. The bore is in good condition, and the rifling has some rounding. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: 16335. C&R Eligible.
