Description

This charming lot features three distinct ceramic pieces: a hand-painted Italian majolica-style dish by Albee and a two-piece set of Japanese Satsuma-style pottery. The Italian dish displays a vibrant, expressive floral motif with a ruffled rim, typical of mid-century art pottery. The Japanese bowl and small plate exhibit a classic “moriage” or raised-enamel technique, featuring delicate cherry blossoms on branches over a textured, crackle-glazed buff ground; these are marked “Hand Painted Japan” with a floral backstamp. Overall, the pieces show light wear consistent with age, including fine crazing to the Japanese set and minor shelf wear on the bases, but they remain free of significant chips or cracks.
