The Frank Rider Collection - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 2
Lot 1393:
Description
This expansive collection of approximately 55 vintage glass bottles offers a remarkable overview of early 20th-century bottling and patent medicine packaging. As a collector, I am particularly impressed by the sheer variety here, spanning from classic amber soda and beer bottles—such as those from Terre Haute Brewing Co., Gambrinus, and Berghoff—to embossed apothecary jars and unique finds like the “Graf-Zep” soda and a bottle from F. Kinney of Chicago. The assortment showcases a range of production techniques, including applied color labels, deep embossing, and varied glass tints. Condition throughout the lot is consistent with age and utility; while many pieces remain in excellent, display-ready shape, some show expected signs of wear such as minor surface scratches, internal residue, light exterior dust, and occasional small edge chips. H 15″, W 24″, D 18″ Please see photos for condition.
