Hollywood Blvd Cinema Memorabilia
Lot 1534:
Description
This striking piece captures the classic aesthetic of Ancient Egyptian revivalism, depicting the protector of the gates to the Underworld, Anubis. Crafted from what appears to be a composite resin or heavy plaster, the figure features a matte black finish contrasted by vibrant gold-painted accents on the headdress, collar, and kilt. The deity stands in a traditional Egyptian pose, accented by a rear obelisk-style pillar adorned with faux-hieroglyphics. While the overall presentation is regal, there are significant condition issues to note: the base is severely damaged with the outer casing chipped away, exposing the white interior material. There are also visible scuffs on the black finish, dust accumulation, and a screw present in the left hand suggesting a missing accessory or previous repair. H 35″, W 8.5″, D 12″. Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly. Please note: Buyer is responsible for removal. From the Hollywood Blvd. Cinemas Collection.
