Description
This striking floor statue depicts Anubis, the ancient Egyptian protector of gates and souls, rendered in a sophisticated Art Deco revival style. The figure is finished in a deep obsidian black with contrasting textured gold-tone “scale” armor and a detailed headdress, evoking the grandeur of the King Tut discovery era. Crafted from a heavy composite or resin, the piece features molded jewelry and a hieroglyphic-styled rectangular base. The item appears to be in very good condition with minor surface dust and light shelf wear to the base consistent with display. H 41″, W 9″, D 15″.
