Description
This striking life-size floor lamp captures the Regal “Egyptian Revival” aesthetic, featuring a figure in the likeness of a Pharaoh or high-ranking royalty. Crafted from molded resin or fiberglass, the figure is finished in a vibrant polychrome palette of turquoise, gold, and lapis blue, adorned with traditional motifs including the crook and flail, ankh, and a Nemes-style headdress. The piece functions as an electric lamp, likely dating to the late 20th century, and serves as a significant statement piece for Hollywood Regency or themed interiors. The base is a circular pedestal with hieroglyphic-style detailing. Condition is fair to good; there is significant structural damage and cracking around the neck area where the head meets the torso, as well as minor scuffing and paint loss throughout the body and base consistent with age and display.
