Description
This striking set of four Moroccan-inspired pierced lanterns showcases the intricate “Mousharabi” style of metalwork, likely dating to the mid-20th century. Each vessel features a series of hand-punched geometric and star motifs designed to cast atmospheric shadows, punctuated by vibrant diamond-shaped glass inserts in emerald green, cobalt blue, and amber tones. The tapered, multi-tiered forms evoke the exotic elegance of North African craftsmanship. While the decorative 43-inch hanging rods mentioned are not pictured, they complete a substantial lighting installation. The metal displays a heavy, authentic aged patina with surface oxidation and minor verdigris throughout, suggesting a brass or similar alloy construction.
