Old West & Native American Auction
Lot 1420:
Description
A great example of an early whiskey bottle, from the late 19th to very early 20th century. The style is a classic round body bottle, molded in clear glass with shoulder panels and a smooth lip, designed for a cork stopper. The white enameled, “pyroglaze,” lettering boldly advertises “SCOTT’S RYE”. The bottle is in good condition, with no chips or cracks. The white lettering is strong and intact. This a great piece of American saloon and liquor history. H 11″, W 3.5″.
From the Saloon Display in Donley’s Wild West Town Museum.
