Description
Model 1899 Krag Carbine by Springfield Armory in .30-40 caliber. Model 1899 carbines were made with 1898 receivers with the last digit overstamped to combine 9 and 8. Also these rifles had no saddle ring and a slightly longer stock than earlier models of carbine. 24″ barrel has good rifling for age and slight damage to upper fore stock. Rifle is in overall good condition. From the Spanish American War display at Donley’s Wild West Town. (Other items in image not included).
