Description

A fantastic example of a Mission-style dining chair from the venerable Charles P. Limbert Company of Grand Rapids and Holland, Michigan, placing its production squarely in the prime Arts and Crafts period, circa 1902–1915. The chair is crafted from Quarter Sawn Oak with a beautiful, deep reddish-brown finish, showcasing a high, five-slat back and a solid, contoured plank seat. Its exceptional provenance is confirmed by the highly sought-after branded stamp on the underside: “LIMBERTS ART & CRAFTS FURNITURE TRADEMARK MADE IN GRAND RAPIDS AND HOLLAND,” which features the iconic craftsman logo. The chair is in good, age-appropriate condition, showing the characteristic wear, scuffing, and minor scratches expected from 100+ years of use, primarily on the seat and leg stretchers. The wood appears structurally sound with no major splits or repairs visible in the provided images. H 37″, W 16.5″, D 16.5″
