This is a fantastic lot of four classic American Arts and Crafts style dining chairs, strongly evocative of pieces made by notable companies like Stickley or Limbert in the early 20th century, though without visible manufacturer markings. The chairs are constructed of quarter-sawn white oak, visible in the strong ray and flake patterns in the medium-brown, aged finish. They feature the characteristic rectilinear forms of the Mission style, with vertical slats in the backs and straight legs tied by simple stretchers. The seats are designed with a slatted wooden base to support the four included, removable slip seats. These seats have been upholstered in a tan or light brown material that appears to be vinyl or distressed leather, adding comfort and color contrast. The condition is consistent with age and use; the wood shows a warm patina, some light scratches, and typical wear to the finish, particularly on the edges and stretchers. All four chairs appear structurally sound. Includes two additional chair seating inserts. H 36″, W 18.5″, D 18.5″
