Description
Attributed as a Winnebago but possibly Chippewa or Ojibwe dance apron circa 1890s. Featuring a floral motif on a dark velvet background, trimmed in red ribbon, with red ribbon tied at the top. The beadwork is intricate and nearly intact with only loss of a section of white beads that form a stem of about an inch long on the right side of the design. The beadwork is vibrant featuring several shades of green, blue, pink and brown. Dimensions: 20” wide x 17.5” tall.
