Description
Papago Tohono O’odham coiled basket manufactured in the 1940s. It is both functional and artistic reflecting the tribe’s cultural heritage and environment. The core is either made of Yucca or bear grass. The pattern of this bowl is geometric and used devils claw for the contrasting lines. Stitching is very tight (38 rows) and there is no loss of material. Dimensions: diameter: 10.75” and depth: 2.5”. NOTE: Pickup/transport required. Contacts available post auction.
