Description
Coiled Apache basket circa 1890s. Crafted using single rigid willow for the warp. Features paired horse motifs, faintly visible on the interior of basket near the rim, which began to emerge at that time. There are burn marks evident at the base indicating possible use for seed roasting. Loss of the weft in some parts, most noticeably along the rim. Diameter: 15.5” and base diameter 3” and height 4”.
