Description

These are a pair of primitive-style arrows, likely modern reproductions, expertly crafted in the traditional manner. Each features a natural wooden shaft, flint-knapped stone projectile point (arrowhead), and natural feather fletching secured with sinew or leather cord wrapping . The stone points are well-formed, suggesting a style inspired by Paleo-Indian or Archaic period artifacts. The feather fletching appears to be natural bird feathers, perhaps hawk or turkey, split and attached with wrapping to aid in flight stabilization. While the exact maker and city of origin are not identifiable from the images, the quality of the knapping and construction suggests a skilled artisan. Condition is excellent; they appear to be modern, well-preserved pieces with no significant chips, breaks, or material loss. The wrapping is tight, and the fletching is full, showing only minor expected wear from handling or storage. L 25″, W 1.5″, D 0.5″ From the Native American display in Donley’s Wild West Town.
