Description
Collection of Native American 32 projectile points with 1 large stone blade/scraper in center. Arranged in a circular pattern around the blade/scraper. Smaller arrowheads exhibit a variety of base styles shapes including side notched, lanceolate, and stemmed, to name a few. Some of them have writing on them, and some of the ones identified with writing on them are: 1) Perdiz Point: This point is primarily found from the Trans Pecos region of Texas and Chihuahua and through-out the Rio Grande River valley. Found northward into the Red River Valley and eastward into western Louisiana. Found southward into S.Tamaulipas and N. San Luis Potosi and N. Zacatecas. 1000 to 500 years Before Present. 2) Monona Stemmed Point: This point is primarily found in the Fox River Valley of S. Wisconsin and into N. Illinois. This point may be found throughout S. Wisconsin and into N.E. Iowa. 1700 to 400 years Before Present, Woodland Period-Blackhawk Culture. 3) Durst Point: This is a regional name for the Lamoka point found in N. Illinois, E. Iowa, S.E. Minnesota, and throughout Wisconsin. See additional comments regarding Ohio River valley distribution. 3500 to 2500 years Before Present, Late Archaic-Neo Glacial.
