October Fall Classic
Lot 2234:
Description
A very charming boudoir or desk lamp from the 1920s-1930s era. The lamp’s main attraction is its beautiful reverse-painted glass shade, which features a continuous pastoral landscape scene. The exterior of the shade has a desirable textured or “chipped-ice” finish that gives the light a soft, warm glow when illuminated. The cast metal base has a classic urn shape with a nice, stable patina. The lamp appears to be in very good condition for its age, with no visible chips or cracks to the shade and only minor wear to the base. The power cord is a later replacement. Measures 14.5″ tall’ with a shade diameter of 7″.
