Description
This is a fantastic set of four original industrial porcelain enamel lighting shades, dating to the mid-20th century. These iconic fixtures are instantly recognizable for their durable construction and brilliant, lasting finish, making them highly sought after for restoration and architectural salvage projects. The shades feature a beautiful, deep Hunter Green porcelain exterior and a reflective white porcelain interior, designed for maximum light output. They are the classic “R-L-M” (Reflector-Lamps-Matching) design, perfect for a vintage warehouse, barn, or kitchen aesthetic. Visible stickers on the underside of the shades indicate the manufacturer as “Silvaking Lighting Equipment,” though a specific city of origin is not discernible from the images. Condition-wise, the shades are in remarkable shape for vintage industrial salvage. The porcelain enamel retains its high gloss and vibrant color with only minor, visible wear. There are a few small surface scratches and minimal instances of enamel chipping primarily around the rim and at the neck mounting points, typical of their age and use. The interior white enamel shows some black streaking/scuffing, as pictured, and the metal hardware at the neck appears oxidized/rusty. The original mounting plates show signs of surface rust and use, but overall, this is a clean, matching, and highly collectible set. H 8″, W 12″, D 12′.
