Description
An excellent lot for the antique machine collector, featuring two distinct examples of early typewriter technology. Included is a Blickensderfer No. 5 typewriter in its original wooden case, a design marvel from Stamford, Connecticut, known for its innovative cylindrical type element. This is paired with a classic, heavy-duty L. C. Smith desktop model, a true workhorse from the L.C. Smith & Corona Typewriters Inc. of Syracuse, New York. Both machines are in fair condition, in need of a good cleaning and lubricating. The L.C. Smith has a cracked space bar. The L.C. Smith Typewriter measures H 10″, W 15″, D 14″. The Blickensderfer Case: H 7″, W 13″, D 10″.
