Description

A trio of Samurai sword handles (Tsuka) and a single scabbard (Saya). All in varied condition and completeness. The Saya is in fair condition, with damage and loss to its overall finish. Both halves held together with tape. Measures 18.25” long. The three handles (Tsuka) measure: 7” and 6.5” and 6.5” in length. The longest is the most complete and has a synthetic leather wrap (Ito). It still has matched copper dragon ornaments (Menuki) on either side and a copper handle collar (Fuchi) and copper butt cap (Kashira) featuring natural decoration. The ray skin (Same) grip is nearly complete with minimal loss in one arear. There is a single hole for the bamboo peg (Mekugi). This handle is ready for mounting on a blade. The second handle has a damaged/cut textile wrap with copper handle collar (Fuchi) and copper butt cap (Kashira) featuring gilt floral decoration. There is one ornamental (Menuki) present featuring birds and floral motifs. The ray skin (Same) has suffered some damage as well. The third sword handle has a complete ray skin (Same) grip, and a gilt butt cap (Kashira) which is stunning on its own. All of these pieces are ready to be incorporated into your sword.
