Lot 2148:
A 4″ piece of a Me 262A Jet Fighter was acquired in 1994 by our consignor from two Czech teachers that dug up the shot down jet. It was shot down on April 17th 1945 near Prague by elements of the 364th Fighter Group. The card with the picture of the display came from the warehouse where these Czech displays the crash parts. 4 Me 262 were caught trying to land and were all shot down as they were approaching their runway. Nice piece of WWII aviation history.
