These items were exchanged during combined training at Fort McCoy in Sparta, Wisconsin with U.S. Army Medical Unit personnel. During the summers of 1986 and 1987, Medevac personnel from West Germany and the United States shared techniques and procedures used in the field to address wounds and emergency care. During the field exercises in setting up M.A.S.H. Hospitals, these patches and insignia were exchanged. between the participating soldiers. This particular collection of shoulder boards, patches, badges, T-shirt and pen [20 items in all] was created by a U.S. Army Medevac nurse. See photos
