Description
This kepi is in fair condition, with what we believe could be an older replacement of the leather strap and bill on an original cap. Nothing on any part of the cap glows under black light, so if it was replaced, it was done so very early on. It has no insignia, and the interior is unmarked. The side buttons look to be original, affixing the leather strap and buckle that are too clean and supple. The bill has several globs of white glue [repairs?] Mothing is present on the wool cap body and the silk liner is shattered/torn on the interior front of the cap. Remnants of the original leather sweatband are present, and held in place with original stitching. Measures 7-1/4” across and 8” deep around head. It is 5” tall overall. See photos.
