Description
Nice, clear studio 1/6 plate tintype of a Union soldier in uniform standing at attention wearing his belt with his bayonet fixed musket at his side. His gaze is strong and resolute. Belt buckle and uniform buttons have faint gold embellishment. Image in VG condition. Mounted behind an undulating gold matte in a typical leatherette case. No diagnostic information on back of image. Missing the case cover. Measures: 3-3/16” x 3-5/8” x 1/4”. This tintype was part of the Civil War and Indian War display at Donley’s Wild West Town Museum for 45 years.
