Group contains: 1) Two pages removed from a United States Property ledger. Features names of soldiers- PVT Charles B. Hayes, K Company, 199th Regiment Pennsylvania Infantry Volunteers for financial transactions on Feb 14 and 19th 1865. Second two-page entry is for PVT Peter Graff, also of K Company, 199th Regiment Pennsylvania Inf. Volunteers. Adjacent page has 64 individual signatures of soldiers in the unit. Back page names Lieut. Loumann M. White of the same unit with issuing of specific equipment dated Nov 5, 1864. 2) Pair of brass black powder flasks. One marked “Navy Arms Co. made in Italy” on spout. Both feature a raised design of patriotic cannons, flags and arms. Brighter finish example has “Colts Patent” in center and a dent on the lower edge. 3) Pair of Mezzotint prints by William Sartain of Philadelphia. The subjects depicted here are: Confederate Generals P.G.T. Beauregard” and is superior General Joseph E. Johns(t)on. 4) Three walnut wood framed magic lantern slides, hand tinted from the 1800’s. Subject labels on spines of each slide are : Washington crossing the Delaware; The Battle of Story Point, 1779; and the Surrender of Cornwallis 1781. Various number markings written on each wooden frame. Glass diameter 3”. Slide frame dimensions: 7”x4”. 5) Tin container with separate lid. Dimensions: 6” wide x 8-1/2” x1-1/4” thick. Unknown usage. Loops on sides have string laced through, but likely would have larger cord for carrying piece strung through. Missing one loop on body portion.
