Description
This 14″ x 9″ leather bag with strong leather shoulder strap and is more a document bag more than a haversack bag. This has a very old string tag attached to strap which states “Haversack, Robert Lindens 8th Conn Reg 1861” there is also and has a partial paper sticker that the date “1861” can be seen on the front flap. The bag has a single pocket with a false second compartment. The lining is an oil clothe. The leather latch lock is missing and the overall condition is fair condition at best. However, it is good provenance with dates and name. Comes in 18″ x 12″ x 3.25″ wood locking display case with key.
