The visor has heavy crazing on both sides and has upward curvature but has just enough flexibility to be corrected. The officer chinstrap is in held with Union eagle buttons and the back of them are not marked and have a ribbed circle pattern to back. The brown leather sweatband is 100% stitched in place and the leather is very flexible. Th lining appears to be black artificial silk.
