Civil War Era and VERY Unusual! Springfield 1842 .69 Musket in excellent vintage condition with very light wear. Lock is dated 1854. The bore is smooth but orange. Steel is in the white with scarce light surface freckles. Barrel is marked “VP”, hammer has a “2”, buttplate has a “US” The stock has a soft cartouche. C&R Eligible S/N:nsn
