Civil War Auction
Lot 13:
This unusual Sharps variation bayonet has original scabbard and is unmarked. The blade has no dings of nicks to blade. The blade has much discoloration and has no rust or pitting. Lug lock functions well. Scabbard is very strong but does have a fold or crease in middle of leather where it may have bent at one time. The scabbard throat is missing one of the four rivets. The main differences are the muzzle ring is slightly bigger and the lug channel is wider and longer by quarter inch. Overall condition is very good and shows much and age and use. We welcome comments and questions about this variation.
