Phonographs Nickelodeons Music Boxes Parts
Lot 2077:
The elaborate oak cabinet has been professionally cleaned, conserved and lightly recoated with care to retain its original patina and beauty. It presents very well. An early machine with its rigid arm has its correct concert style reproducer. The scissors action arm and back bracket have their original nickel plating in good condition with some minor wear and pitting. At the back side of the tone arm, as with nearly all rigid arm Victors, there is evidence of an old solder repair. It presents and functions well. Original winding crank and record hold down. Has replacement turntable felt. Machine winds, runs and plays. Has its original 22" L all brass horn with 13-3/4" bell all of which have been brightly polished. All in good condition with a few minor dings. Has its progonal Victor rigid arm style threaded brass elbow. As with nearly all original rigid arm elbows it is slightly bent downwards. See photos. Cabinet measures 12-3/4 X 12-3/4 X 7-1/2"T. This is a nice example of a hard to find machine. A must piece for a serious collector.
