Cutaway: No Long Description: This is designed to be affixed to an object, such as a tree or post, and set up with a tripwire. When the tripwire is pulled the device fires a flare into the area alerting friendly forces of an intruder and illuminating the area. There are no markings on the body or the fuze. Some paint is missing from the body. The mounting bracket for this is missing. 2) Item Description: Empty aluminum cartridge case. Type Designator/Model: For the AN-M43A2 signal flare Cal./Size: 1 ½-inches in diameter and 3 ¾-inches high Color: Plain aluminum with black and red markings Manufacturer: Ambac Industries Inc., Pace Co. Division Country of Origin: United States. Long Description: Expended case only. The primer is headstamped “WRA M39A1C”. There is a row of red “C’s” around the case near the rim.
