Cylindrical bodied CN tear gas hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: CN 118
Cal./Size: 2 ?-inches in diameter and 5 ¾-inches high.
Color: Gray with red markings. Manufacturer: Federal Laboratories, Saltsburg, PA. Country of Origin: United States. Trainer: Yes. Cutaway: Yes. A partial cutaway body with a fuze present. There are three tape covered emission holes on the top and one emission hole in the base. Printed on the top of the fuze handle is “INERT”. Markings on the body are “CN 118; and the company name and logo all enclosed in a
red dashed rectangle”. There is minor corrosion on the body. This was once mounted on a board and two mounting holes are present. 2) A cylindrical bodied CN tear agent hand grenade.

A sectioned grenade body without a fuze. There are six tape covered emission holes visible and there would be 12 on a complete grenade. There are four tape covered emission holes on the top of the body and one on the bottom. Has markings on on body. “No. 112 Federal Spede-heat” and the company name and address”. A box made of squares and rectangles surrounds some markings and two other rectangular lines are also present on the opposite side. This was once mounted on a board and two mounting holes are present.
