This lot of 5 is inert and safe. From the Jim Geibel collection includes 1) Cylindrical bodied tear agent hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: CS 555. Cal./Size: 2 ?-inches in diameter and 6 ¼-inches high. Color: Silver with blue markings Manufacturer: Federal Laboratories, Inc. Country of Origin: United States Trainer: Yes. Cutaway: No. The aluminum body of this grenade has one tape covered emission hole in the base, four small ones on the top and nine small ones on the side. The tape is missing over two of the side holes. There are no markings on the silver fuze safety handle. The handle has some corrosion. Markings on the body are “CS 555; No. 555 Federal Riot Grenade; Irritatant Agent (CS); MADE IN U.S.A.; MFG 1977; manufacturer’s data, warnings, employment information”. There are two broken blue bands on the body. 2) Cylindrical bodied tear agent hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: 112 CN

Trainer: Yes. Cutaway: No. The aluminum body of this grenade has four foil covered emission holes on the top and three on the side near the top. There is also an emission hole in the base that has no foil over it. There are no markings on the silver fuze safety handle. There is some corrosion on the fuze safety handle. Markings on the body are “112 CN; Federal Spedeheat Grenade; Chemical Agent (CN); WARNING…DANGER; FOR USE BY TRAINED PERSONNEL ONLY; MAY START FIRES; FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY; MFG FEB 1985; discharge and warning data”. There is a broken red band around the top and base of the body. One section actually forms a block around the model number. 3) Cylindrical bodied tear agent hand grenade
Type Designator/Model: 121 CN. Cal./Size: 2 ?-inches in diameter and 6 ¼ -inches high. Color: Silver with red markings Manufacturer: Federal Laboratories, Inc. Country of Origin: United States. Trainer: Yes. Cutaway: No. The aluminum body of this grenade has four circular areas on the top that appear to be emission holes, but I do not think there are actually holes there. There are no markings on the silver fuze safety handle. There are six small vertical grooves in the body to aid in separation on functioning. Markings on the body are “121 CN; FEDERAL BLAST DISPERSION GRENADE; Chemical Agent (CN); WARNING…DANGER; FOR USE BY TRAINED PERSONNEL ONLY; MAY START FIRES; FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY; MADE IN U.S.A.; 5619790; MFG 1981; discharge, warning and manufacturer’s data”. There is a red band around the body that actually form a block around the markings. There is also a wide red vertical band on the body. 4)Cylindrical bodied tear agent hand grenade Type Designator/Model: 117 CN

There are no markings on the silver fuze safety handle. The handle has some corrosion. Markings on the body are “117 CN; FLAMELESS GRENADE; Chemical Agent (CN); SMOKE; WARNING…DANGER; FOR USE BY TRAINED PERSONNEL ONLY FOR CONFINED AREA CONTROL; discharge, warning and manufacturer’s data”. There is one red band around the bottom of the body. 5) Cylindrical bodied tear agent hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: 555 CS
