Guns & Militaria
Lot 2012a:
Description
This helmet came right from an estate. It has a gray horsehair plume that may have been added later. The front plate holes sit rather high and seems to have faint outline of Prussian eagle. The best part of this helmet is the fairly complete scale chinstrap with star rosettes. We don’t see evidence of at roundels. Front visor is loose and held in place by only the two side rivets. The helmet body is decent and the tin base box with red cover is worn down to tin. The entire helmet is in poor condition and has a foul smell from attic storage. This could be a worthy project helmet with some good parts.
