Early cylindrical can shaped dispersion hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: Unknown. Cal./Size: 2 ?-inches in diameter and 5 ¼-inches high Color: Yellow with silver and black markings Manufacturer: Federal Laboratories, Inc.
Country of Origin: United States. An early civilian grenade. The body of the grenade only. There are eight tape covered emission holes in the top. Stamped into the aluminum body are the numbers “27716”. A label affixed to the body is a black label with the following markings “FEDERAL; GRENADE; (NON- EXPLOSIVE); assembly, discharge, manufacturer’s and caution data; USE BEFORE OCT 1 1937”. Company label has last patent date of 1928.
