Description
Antique Double Box Wooden Wall-Mounted Telephone, manufactured in early 1900s, sold oak case, dual ringer bells, a hand crank, separate mouthpiece and receiver set up, phone has no amplifier so callers had to shout at the top of their lungs causing neighbors to constantly complain about the deafening noise, age-related wear, minor surface scuffs, no cracks or missing panels, ringer bells show moderate oxidation and pitting, black funnel no chips or cracks, stamped with Serial #270479 L, receiver shows surface wear, switchhook, cloth cord and terminal connections intact, metal band stamped “STROMBERG-CARLSON”,includes 2 Western Electric battery cells (not pictured), good condition, see photos. 31″ x 9″ x 12″
