This three-volume selection of The Papers of Thomas A. Edison, published by Johns Hopkins University Press in Baltimore, Maryland, represents a vital academic dive into America’s premier inventor. Included in this lot are Volume 1 (The Making of an Inventor: February 1847–June 1873), Volume 4 (The Wizard of Menlo Park: 1878), and Volume 5 (Research to Development at Menlo Park: January 1879–March 1881). These scholarly hardcovers feature detailed cloth bindings, comprehensive historical annotations, and archival reproductions. Visually evaluated across image.png and image_2.png, the books are in overall very good condition. Volume 5 remains completely sealed in its original publisher’s shrink wrap. Volume 1 retains its protective dust jacket, showing only mild surface shelf wear and minor scuffing, while Volume 4 is missing its dust jacket but features clean cloth boards, bright gilt spine lettering, and a crisp, tight spine.
