This impressive 4-book reference lot includes the comprehensive two-volume Encyclopedia of Recorded Sound (Second Edition, 2005) edited by Frank Hoffmann and published by Routledge in New York, which remains an invaluable academic tool for any sound recording enthusiast. Also included is The Patent History of the Phonograph 1877-1912 compiled by Allen Koenigsberg and published by APM Press in Brooklyn, New York, alongside Frank W. Adams’ Jukeboxes 1889-1993 published by AMR Publishing Company in Arlington, Washington. The two-volume encyclopedia set is in like-new condition, remaining fresh from its original protective wrap. In contrast, the softcover comb-bound patent history book shows noticeable exterior staining, scuffing, and dirt on its red cover, though it remains entirely complete and internally intact, while the jukebox reference guide displays light shelf wear.
