A complete, 13-volume third-edition library set of Sir James George Frazer’s seminal anthropological work The Golden Bough: A Study in Magic and Religion, published by St. Martin’s Press (New York) in conjunction with Macmillan & Co. Ltd. (London). Printed in Great Britain around 1955, this milestone set includes the comprehensive 12-volume core work plus the valuable Aftermath supplementary volume. Each volume features a cream-colored cloth dust jacket displaying a stylized mistletoe motif on the front cover. The set is in good vintage condition, exhibiting minor, age-appropriate shelf wear, light toning, and small blemishes on the dust jackets, but maintains strong, intact bindings with clean interior pages.
